Tesco enjoyed great success at the “Q” Quality Food awards
At the Quality Food Awards 2011Tesco won across a range of products. From our Market Value Smoked Salmon to our Chocolate Wreath dessert. Including overall Gold Q winner for our Greek Yogurt. So now you can say it’s the crème de la crème"
The awards are highly respected as one of the most rigorous in the industry due to its robust judging process made up of industry experts: chefs, food development specialists, food writers, restaurateurs, retailers and specialist consultants. As such, they are very hotly contested. The “Q” logo on pack is also increasingly recognised by customers as a mark of quality.
This year Tesco won across 10 categories. We are especially proud of the fact that Tesco won 2 out of the 3 overall “Gold” Q awards; these recognise the best product across a number of categories.
We won the overall Seasonal/Christmas category with our Finest Mini Kilner Pate selection.
Tesco Finest Greek Yogurt won the overall Gold Q for the night – this is the ultimate accolade, awarded to the one product that stands out above all the Q award winners.

Tesco.com has been voted Good Housekeeping's 'Best Food Home Delivery Service' in 2011 by their readers and a panel of expert judges including actress Jane Asher and celebrity chef Theo Randall. Now in their seventh year, these awards honour the very best in food and drink retailing - so this accolade is testament to the first-class service we provide for our customers every day.
We launched Tesco.com over a decade ago and continue to keep raising the bar, working hard to give customers what they want.
Around 2,000 readers voted online and by post to place our delivery service above Ocado and Waitrose Deliver, which demonstrates real recognition of the fantastic service we provide.

We have just won the International Wine Challenge Own Label Range of the Year award, 2011. Judges recognised the continued commitment to diversity and interest within the own label range.
We are delighted to announce that Tesco scooped 27 gold and silver awards at ‘The Grocer own label food and drink awards’ across 50 categories - more than any other retailer.
The awards, judged by consumers, reward the most outstanding own-label food and non-alcoholic drink products offered by UK retailers. Over 200 products were tested for taste, packaging and value for money. Here are just some of the highlights on offer from Tesco:

This soup is a blend of quality, authentic ingredients including great spices and freshly-torn British chicken.

Handcrafted folded pizza filled to the brim with Italian tomato sauce, chicken, smoked bacon, fontal cheese and red onion.
Finest* Lemon Curd: GOLD
A sweet lemon curd with a fresh lemon tang. Our curd was also praised for its colour and aroma.
Finest* Jersey Extra Thick Double Cream: GOLD
Proof that the quality of cream matters with a simple concept, pure and clean on the palette, from pedigree Jersey Cows in Jersey.
Finest* Ossau – Iraty: GOLD
A deliciously sweet and fruity ewe’s milk cheese made in the Basque region in south-west France
